Monroe County Court Dockets
A docket is the court's running list of case activity. In Monroe County court dockets, the useful items are usually the case number, court, parties, event date, filing date, hearing setting, order entry, disposition, continuance, judgment, sentence, transfer, or appeal. The docket is a map of what happened and when. It is not always the document itself. A motion entry may show that a motion was filed, while the motion text may require PeachCourt access, a clerk request, or a paid copy.
Monroe County dockets must be read by court type. Superior Court is the main trial court for felony, divorce, equity, title-to-land, declaratory judgment, habeas, mandamus, quo warranto, prohibition, contract, premises liability, and other major civil or criminal matters. Probate Court holds estate, guardianship, conservatorship, vital-record, traffic, and misdemeanor matters identified by the county. Magistrate Court keeps small claims under $15,000, dispossessory, garnishment, deposit-account fraud, and pre-warrant application matters. City of Forsyth Municipal Court handles city citation dockets.
Find Monroe Docket Information
For Superior Court docket information, start with the Monroe County Superior Court page and the state provider route. The county page points to PeachCourt for civil cases, pleadings, and document copies, and it also includes Towaliga Judicial Circuit calendar links. Research found examples of specific calendar PDFs, including criminal non-jury and warrant calendar references, which means Monroe County uses targeted calendar postings rather than one broad public docket feed.
- Identify the court first: Superior, Probate, Magistrate, Municipal, Juvenile, or federal.
- For Superior Court, check the county court page for calendar links and use Georgia Courts E-Access or PeachCourt for account-based case access.
- For Probate Court dockets, contact Monroe County Probate Court because no public probate case-search feed was located.
- For Magistrate Court docket information, contact Monroe County Magistrate Court and use its forms and filing links where relevant.
- For City of Forsyth citations, use the Municipal Court phone numbers in the county helpful-links PDF or the Government Window payment path.
Sample Monroe Docket Fields
The research did not locate a public Monroe Superior docket sample available without provider access, so the inventory below is based on the documented docket-event fields in the research and should be read as a supported field inventory, not a screen capture. Case users should avoid assuming that every field appears in every court. A probate docket, a felony docket, a Magistrate dispossessory docket, and a municipal citation docket can show different terms.

Dockets by Monroe Court
Each Monroe County court has a different docket path. The Clerk of Superior Court handles Superior and Juvenile records, though juvenile dockets are restricted by Georgia law. Probate Court, Magistrate Court, and Municipal Court each have separate functions and should not be searched as if they were divisions of one open case portal. For traffic matters, Monroe County Probate Court and City of Forsyth Municipal Court are separate paths.
| Court | Docket / Calendar Route | Cases Covered |
|---|---|---|
| Superior Court | County calendar links, PeachCourt, and Clerk of Superior Court. | Felony, divorce, equity, title-to-land, habeas, declaratory judgment, mandamus, and major civil cases. |

Docket vs Full Record
A Monroe County court docket is often enough to verify that a filing occurred, a hearing was set, a case was continued, or a judgment was entered. A full case record is different. It may include complaints, motions, responses, exhibits, orders, sentencing paperwork, warrants, writs, certified copies, or other documents. Online access can stop at the docket level when the document is sealed, restricted, fee-based, account-gated, or not digitized.
| Docket | Full Case Record | |
|---|---|---|
| Format | Chronological list of case events. | Underlying documents and court papers. |
| Best use | Tracking status, dates, events, and outcomes. | Legal review, certified copies, pleadings, orders, and proof. |
| Access | May appear in calendars, provider entries, or clerk summaries. | May require PeachCourt account access, clerk request, copy fee, or court approval. |
| Limits | May omit document text or protected fields. | May be sealed, redacted, restricted, or available only from the court. |
Note: A docket entry can confirm activity without proving the full text of the filed document.
Read Monroe Court Dockets
Start with the case type, then read the dates in order. A civil docket may begin with a complaint, show an answer, list motions and orders, then end with judgment, dismissal, transfer, or appeal. A criminal docket may show warrant activity, bond, arraignment, pleas, motion hearings, calendar calls, continuances, disposition, sentencing, probation violations, or appeal entries. A probate docket may involve petitions, letters testamentary, guardianship orders, conservatorship orders, or certificates.
Names also matter. Plaintiff and defendant usually appear in civil cases. Petitioner and respondent may appear in divorce, probate, guardianship, and other petition-based cases. The State and accused appear in criminal cases. A docket status such as open, disposed, closed, sealed, restricted, transferred, or continued should be read with care because it does not always describe the same point in every type of case.
Calendar entries should also be checked against the office that posted them. Research found that Monroe County Superior Court uses specific Towaliga Judicial Circuit calendar links, such as criminal non-jury and warrant calendar references, instead of a single all-purpose public feed. That makes the posting date, court name, and event label important. A person checking a Superior Court hearing should compare the calendar entry with the case docket and confirm the setting with the Clerk of Superior Court when the date affects travel, bonds, subpoenas, or a required appearance.
The Monroe County dated meeting notice shows how county pages can publish date-specific notices rather than a single permanent docket feed.

That pattern supports a practical habit: check the court page, then confirm current calendar details with the court office before relying on an older posted notice.
Federal Dockets Near Monroe
Federal dockets are separate from Monroe County court dockets. Monroe County is in the Macon Division of the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Georgia. The federal court's location page lists the William A. Bootle Federal Building and U.S. Courthouse in Macon, with Monroe among the counties served by the division. Federal cases should be searched through PACER or CM/ECF, not through the Monroe County Clerk of Superior Court.
Bankruptcy dockets use the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Middle District of Georgia. Federal appeals route to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. State appeals from Monroe County trial courts follow Georgia appellate routes instead. Keeping state and federal docket paths separate prevents missed records and wrong-office requests.
Monroe Docket Limits
A docket is useful, but it is not a full public-access promise. Juvenile docket information can be restricted because Georgia juvenile law separates most juvenile law-enforcement and court files from ordinary public inspection. Adoption records are sealed. Mental-health and substance-intervention matters handled through Probate Court can be sensitive. Sealed or restricted criminal-history material may require prosecutor contact, court action, or both, depending on the arrest date and result.
Sheriff records also have hard limits. Monroe County Sheriff's Central Records can handle incident reports, officer information reports, 911 audio, accident reports, and custom law-enforcement requests, but it does not provide court documents, court dispositions, warrant information, jail status, mug shots, medical records, toxicology reports, or driver's-license and vehicle-registration information. A docket search should stay with the court when the user needs court activity, and it should move to the sheriff only when the requested record is a law-enforcement record.
The same sorting rule applies to traffic and misdemeanor matters. Monroe County Probate Court identifies traffic and misdemeanor criminal cases among its duties, while City of Forsyth citations use a Municipal Court and Government Window path. A docket tied to a county Probate citation will not necessarily appear where a city citation is paid. Driver-history records from Georgia DDS are also separate from a court docket because an MVR shows driver record history, not the court's citation file.
